I’m a 34 year old living in the heart of Brooklyn. Each day I trek into the concrete jungle of Manhattan to work at a PR agency – and then follow the masses back over the East River.
DH and I have been TTC since November 2007. All the usual tests and follow-up appointments – and we found ourselves on the eve of our first IVF cycle (July 2009 – failure) so a blog was in order as a way to find some support & information. Another IVF cycle (fall 2009 – failure), followed by acupuncture, followed by a FET (mid-March – failure). Then, we got a second and third opinion. We moved to a new clinic for a FET (November 2010 – failure) and a fresh cycle (January 2011 – failure). We attempted a new protocol at the new clinic (May 2011 – failure) and are now looking for another road to parenthood.
Lost count yet? That’s six failed *assisted* tries…and millions of needles, acupuncture, drugs, tears and lost hope.
Sigh…
As of June 2011 – we’ve begun the adoption process! Steep learning curve ahead…
