Well, the results of the initial bloodwork came in — and we *may* be getting somewhere:
We have (again) confirmed that I ovulate, but it appears that my progesterone plummets shortly afterward. That’s a relatively easy fix.
DH’s initial analysis came back and while he produces copious amounts of swimmers and they move well – their morphology is off – less than 1% were normal. While we’re still waiting for the results of the culture, he does have an appointment with a urologist in a couple of weeks.
No word yet on the 15 vials of blood that I gave for an immunological work-up.

In other news – more FB pregnancy announcements (sigh), massive work and family-related travel this month (Pittsburgh, Boston, DC, Atlanta), work frustration (stupid, petty colleagues) – and a big thank you to Acela for the wi-fi so I can update my blog at 150 mph between NYC and Boston!
Hopefully the urologist will have some ideas for your husbands results. And yeah, a bit of hormone tweaking and your progesterone should be sorted.
Hmmmm, interesting so far. So maybe a MF issue? Huh. I love how they always take to woman over the coals, but only after lots of failure (and more examining of the woman) do they look more closely at the guy.
Safe traveling this month!
I have an idea of what Dr you are seeing in NYC. I am all for getting second or fifth opinions (as in my case). It’s amazing how many tests can be done and I always hope that something, some little nugget of information comes out of it that starts to put the puzzle together. Finding that missing link really feels great, like you’ve solved the mystery. I hope you do find that piece that starts to make sense of all of this. Interested to know where you think you’ll cycle next. I actually came up with a plan to go to two Drs for this next cycle. They both come from different schools of thought and I believe both of them, but because I have been through so much, I am trusting my own school of thought – sometimes it takes a village to get a gal pregnant!
Best of luck with the rest of your tests and safe travels.
